What is Permanent Cosmetics?
Permanent makeup is a cosmetic tattoo. It is the implanting of pigment in the Dermal Layer of the skin.

Is the procedure painful?
There is some discomfort. However, the use of topical anesthetics are used to minimize the discomfort. Most clients are surprised at the comfort level of most procedures.

What should I expect afterwards?
A little swelling as though you've had a good cry for the first day and following morning. DO NOT have your Permanent Makeup applied right before any major events. Wait 7 days for eyeliner, 10 for brows and 12 days for any lip procedures. The area will be tender and swollen for a few days.

How long are the procedures?
It takes about 2 hrs for Eyeliner and 2 hrs for Brows; 3 hrs for Full Lips.

Should I worry about allergies?
Yes and No. You should always be cautious, as it is possible to be allergic to the pigment or the topical anesthetic. You can have an allergy scratch test done by request if you are concerned. Remember, Permanent Makeup is a wonderful alternative to cosmetics, if you have sensitive skin or allergies.

How long will my permanent makeup last?
It will last anywhere from 1-7 years before needing a touch-up.

Annie uses the Nouveau Contour Intelligent. It is a fully computerized permanent makeup machine that provides optimal results in less time. The digitally controlled microprocessor assures stable needle frequency resulting in more accurate pigment placement and higher pigment color retention. The machine assures a constant needle frequency, despite the resistance of the skin. When skin resistance occurs, the microprocessor adjusts the needle frequency accordingly ensuring consistent, even pigment placement. Procedures performed by using the Nouveau Contour Intelligent provide less trauma, minimal discomfort, and excellent results.
The hand piece uses a disposable safety needle cartridge. This is the first permanent make-up "rotary/pen" machine that virtually eliminates the possibility of cross contamination. The needle cartridge contains the needle and the needle "tube" combined in one disposable cartridge. Internal diaphragms prevent fluid and airborne contaminants from entering the hand piece. Therefore the system is void of any chance of cross-contamination. For additional safety, when the cartridge is detached from the hand piece the needle automatically retracts back into the cartridge preventing an accidental "stick" to the technician or client.
